Just an old grey wall

A walk in the Lakes is always a joy, and it mostly rains. I like rain, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I have a favourite place I stay which I’m not disclosing, because I want it to stay that way. This old stone wall nearby is grey from a distance, but get close and the rain brings out the fantastic colours of mosses and lichens sheltering from the westerlies which carry the Irish Sea inland and dump it onto the western Dales.
